Best of music that’s NOT on the charts

The billboard charts are a new form of auditory torture; the YouTube trending list of music has the lasting impression of waves on wet sand. Finding some decent listening material is over a week of scrolling away. But luckily, it payed off!

Just like their song “Wish I knew you,” you too will think the same of wishing to know this band a bit earlier. While their latest album has its fair share of favourites, the one before that “Men amongst mountains” is a rare riveting experience!

If you are looking for a soothing listening experience to get you through your chores at home or office, this is just the selection you need. Sam Beam, the lead singer’s voice goes perfectly for a soothing ambient experience without making you doze off.

For procrastinators who are approaching deadlines or those out there who need to have that extra push to kick into gear, try this! The Mongolian heavy metal band will not only make you start shaking your head like a metal head, but will put you into the mood to conquer any pile of paperwork. Just don’t forget your headphones for this one though!

Sometimes words may be a hindrance than a catalyst for productivity, if you happen to be one of those, then try Jesse Cook. “The Rumba Foundation” and “Beyond Borders” are two albums that are perfect for a ‘listening test’ before you get engulfed by Cook’s entire work!
