For the month of Ramadan, KFC and Pizza Hut upheld their Ramadan tradition and organised special iftars at their outlets. But this time, it was extra special because this iftar was done across all outlets of KFC and Pizza Hut on the same day.
The iftar was arranged for underprivileged children from local orphanages, madrasas and charity schools run by the locals in the vicinity of each store. This year, 500 children had iftar at 38 outlets of KFC and Pizza Hut across Bangladesh (Dhaka, Savar, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet).
“In the month of Ramadan, this little endeavor we take to bring smiles to these little faces gives us much joy. We try to give these children an experience that they would not have otherwise. We look forward to carrying this tradition into the future and help spread a little joy here and there,” said Amit Dev Thapa, CEO of Transcom Foods (franchisee of KFC and Pizza Hut in Bangladesh).
