When East Meets West

Zarin Rashid's debut collection, 'When East Meets West', is a collaboration of her thoughts and culture. She was always inspired by the whole idea of traditional wear; but living abroad, she developed a taste for the western culture as well. She thought of creating a fusion of both and hence, came up with this line. Her ensemble consists of dresses that gives off a gown-like vibe but has the structure of Bengali traditional wear. She held her first-ever show at Gulshan's Bay Edgewater Gallery on 24 June, 2016. It featured 16-18 of her pieces that were all made and brought back from Toronto to Dhaka.  Choreography for this show was done by Limi and makeup was done by Bridal Studio.
