Zurhem's Spring Summer 2017 Fashion Show
Over the past year, Zurhem has taken the Bangladeshi fashion scene by storm. On the 17 February, they strengthened the hold with their first ever solo fashion show for Spring and Summer 2017 at Lakeshore.
The show started off with the company's chairman, Saadat Chowdhury gracing the stage and introducing the men's Spring/Summer Collections.
With the first model walking down the ramp, one could see the thought and effort that was put together in giving shape to those mindboggling outfits. Mehruz Munir kept in mind the new trend of 2017 - comfort and style.
Colours of spring such as green, brown and beige merged in with breathable fabrics such as linen and cotton to blend in with the season. Many of the outfits took up a relaxed look, of which one of them was a linen suit comprising trousers with wider hems and brown sneakers to splash in some contrast.
Moreover, an attention grabbing jumpsuit went down the 'To Have List' of most men. The merger of a bomber and double breasted jacket caught the attention of many, while a classic summer tuxedo instantly became the favourite of all the to-be-wed grooms in the hall.
The show stopper was a surprise introduction of women's wear. Elegant, chic and innovative would best describe the clothing collection of women. Neatly tailored to perfection, some of the outfits were renditions of the men's collection displayed earlier; there was a classic all black suit and a gold suit with a black belt, which seemed to be inspired from their Mahrajan Collection, came off as if made of shimmery material. Not only were there suits for women but there were also dresses like one stunning black frilled attire.
The show was grand, highlighting the very essence of the upcoming season and addressing what we should opt for this time around.
