Omicron: India removed Bangladesh from ‘red list’, says foreign ministry

India has removed Bangladesh from its list of "at risk" countries.
The move comes a day after India added Bangladesh to the list, according to a text message sent to media from the foreign ministry.
"Due to request, India High Commission has informed that Bangladesh has been removed from the Red List of India," read the text message quoting Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen as saying.
Travellers from the countries in the list, updated by India yesterday, would need to follow additional measures, including RT-PCR test on self-expenditure, on arrival at the country against the backdrop of rising concerns over the Omicron variant of Covid-19.
