Incoming passengers need not submit online health declaration anymore
The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has cancelled the rule of mandatory online submission of the "Health Declaration Form" for incoming passengers to Bangladesh.
Air Commodore Shah Kawsar Ahmed Choudhury, member (Flight Standards and Regulations) of CAAB, issued a circular in this regard on October 30 given the directives of the Directorate General of Health Services.
"The provision of filling the online health declaration form in the case of coming to Bangladesh has been cancelled. However, other previous conditions will remain as before," the circular read.
As per the previous conditions, those who have received a full dose of any vaccine approved by the World Health Organisation, will not be required to undergo a Covid-19 test to come to Bangladesh. Passengers must carry proof of vaccination.
Passengers who have not taken a single dose or any vaccine must have a negative report of Covid-19 test within 72 hours to come to Bangladesh.
Children below 12 years of age do not require to undergo any Covid-19 test. However, they have to follow other health-related guidelines.
If a passenger, vaccinated or not, shows signs or symptoms of Covid-19, the airport's health officials will conduct a Covid-19 test of the passenger.
If the person is tested positive, s/he will have to stay in isolation for seven days in a hotel designated by the government at own expense. After that, a test will be conducted again after seven days.
Earlier in April, CAAB issued circular saying passengers coming to Bangladesh will have to fill up the health declaration form online within three days of their departure.
