3 madrasa teachers remanded over Narayanganj student murder
Three teachers of a madrasa were placed on remand today in a case filed over murder of a student of the same madrasa in Narayanganj's Siddhirganj.
Narayanganj Senior Judicial Magistrate Milton Hossain granted the one-day remand for each, our local correspondent reports.
The accused teachers -- Shawkat Hossain Sumon, Zobayer Ahmmad, and Abdul Aziz -- were present in the court. All of them are teachers of Rowjatul Uloom Madrasa.
The court also ordered to exhume the body of Sabbir Hossain and to conduct an autopsy, said Asaduzzaman, Narayanganj Court Police Inspector.
Sabbir, 14, was a student of Rowjatul Uloom Madrasa in Rasulbagh Majhipara area of Siddhirganj upazila.
Inspector Asaduzzaman said that they sought seven days' remand for the three on March 12.
The victim's father on March 12 filed the case with Siddhirganj Police Station accusing some unknown people.
Police, on the same day, arrested the three teachers and four fellow students of Sabbir.
