Lamb born with a human face

The face of a just-born lamb is usually one of the cutest sights ever – this is just the stuff of nightmares.

These images from Izmir, Turkey, show the animal with a face looking just like a human's, reports British daily The Star.

The lamb, which looks like something out of a bizarre horror movie, has a chin, a small nose and even a full set of human-like lips – that give off the impression that it's smiling.

Staff at the veterinary clinic where the animal was born via Caesarean section, were seemingly so taken aback by the sight that they took a series of images showing the apparent deformity.

It also appears that the animal had unfortunately died, possibly as a result of the mutation.

Too much vitamin A in the mother's feed is thought to be the reason for the oddity.

Either that or we're approaching the end times.
