Khaleda to join hunger strike tomorrow
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will join tomorrow’s mass hunger strike organised by her party to protest "the government's repression and filing of false cases" against the party high-ups including Khaleda and his son Tarique Rahman.
While addressing a press conference at its central office at Nayapalton, BNP’s joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi confirmed reporters that the party chairperson would attend the programme at Jatiya Press Club at 4:00pm.
“We will protest the ongoing incidents of abduction and killings through our nine-hour hunger strike from 9:00am tomorrow,” he said.
On April 25, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced to hold rallies on April 28 and stage a mass hunger strike at upazila, district and divisional headquarters on tomorrow.
