Dengue fever: 1 dead, 245 hospitalised in 24 hrs

At least one patient diagnosed with dengue died while 245 patients were admitted to different hospitals across the country in 24 hours till 8:00am today (September 3, 2022).
With the new death case in Dhaka, the total number of deaths in the mosquito borne disease rose to 23 this year, including 12 in Cox's Bazar and 11 in Dhaka, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. With the 245 new patients, including 41 from outside of Dhaka, the total number of dengue cases this year rose to 6,692.
Of them, 858 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment, including 119 from outside the capital.
A total of 5,811 patients have been released from hospitals, including 1,052 from outside Dhaka this year so far.
