‘No evidence Omicron transmitted to others from infected cricketers’

There is no evidence that the Omicron variant of Covid-19 has been transmitted to others from the two infected cricketers of Bangladesh National Team, Health Minister Zahid Maleque said today.

"Both the players are doing well. There is no reason to worry about the Omicron variant," the minister said while addressing an event at Dhaka Medical College Hospital this afternoon.

He also urged people who have not taken the Covid-19 vaccine yet to take it as early as possible to stay protected.
