17 die in Covid units of Bogura hospitals in 24 hours

Seventeen people died while being treated at the Covid units of hospitals in Bogura till 8am today.

Among them, nine died with symptoms in Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital and six in Mohammad Ali Hospital, reports our local correspondent quoting Mostafizur Rahman, deputy civil surgeon of the district.

The other two deceased had tested coronavirus positive, the deputy civil surgeon added.

In the meantime, 622 samples were tested among which 170 were positive for Covid-19. The current positivity rate stands at 27.33 percent.
