Hannan, Quayes, Shameem new envoys to UK, Brazil, Switzerland

The government has decided to appoint Md Abdul Hannan, currently serving as the Bangladeshi ambassador to Switzerland and permanent representative to the UN Offices in Geneva and Vienna, as the new high commissioner to the UK.
Meanwhile, the government also has decided to appoint former foreign secretary, Mohamed Mijarul Quayes, currently serving as Bangladeshi High Commissioner to the UK, as the new ambassador to Brazil, while Shameem Ahsan, ambassador to Brazil has been transferred to Geneva, said a foreign ministry press release yesterday.
