Kusum Shikder in a new light
We all know the beauty that is Kusum Shikder. Ever since she emerged as the winner from the Lux-Anandadhara Beatuy Pageant, she has acted in numourus TV dramas and gained a massive fan following. After her step into the world of film, she has gained even more popularity. The reason ofcourse, is very simple. Unlike many of her contemporaries, she chooses her work very carefully. Now though, we get to see her in a whole new way as she has just finished a poetry book which is slated to be published at the upcoming Ekushe Boi Mela.
Lavlu back in TV Serials
Salauddin Lavlu's importance as an actor cannot be understated. Back when he was active, he would be part of many different productions. Now however, he has limited his participation in acting to a bare minimum and just focuses on directing instead. After a long break however, we will get a chance to see this genius on TV again as he has just signed on to appear on an upcoming Bangla TV Series. The name of the TV Series will be “Khorkuto”. This TV Series also allows him to indulge in his passion for working in rural areas as this series is based around a rural area. This series also brings to light many of the current feminine issues to light. Be sure to catch it when it airs.

Viewers know Mousumi Nag mostly through her acting in vast TV Dramas. Several of her TV Dramas are aired on different channels every day so you can hardly ever miss it. There is a new TV serial, however, that may just stand out from the rest of her previous works. The series “Dolchut Projapoti” is a bit special as it allows her to try out a whole different kind of character. This is working out great for her as her character as well the series itself is becoming popular. Her magic is not just limited to the TV realm either as she has already stepped into the film business with her work in the film “Runout”, which will be released sometime this year. If those weren't impressive enough, she also does modeling from time to time.
X-Men`s Evan Peters joins cast of Elvis And Nixon
Evan Peters has been signed to star in the historical drama flick ' Elvis And Nixon.' The indie project, which already stars Kevin Spacey as President Nixon opposite Michael Shannon as Elvis Presley , was penned by actor Cary Elwes with Hanala and Joey Sagal, and would be helmed by Liza Johnson, Deadline.com reported. The story centers on a peculiar 1970 meeting between Presley and the president that famously yielded one of the more curious White House photo ops in pop culture history, when Elvis wanted to become a federal agent to support Nixon's drug policy. The 27-year-old actor, who played Quicksilver in Fox's ' X-Men' franchise and known for his work in 'American Horror Story,' would play the part of Dwight Chapin, the White House aide who helped organize the meeting between the two men, post Elvis' arrival on the White House lawn and asking to meet directly to the President. The movie is being produced by Cassian Elwes with Holly Wiersma.
Salman Khan turns painter?
Bollywood's most 'Dabangg' actor—Salman Khan, is known for doing stuff in his own 'hatke' way. The actor, who recently celebrated his birthday is famous for helping others as well. This time he extended his helping hand to not any star kid or aspiring actress, but to villagers in Karjat. According to a leading daily, the actor along with his 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' team members, who are currently shooting the film in Karjat took upon themselves to paint the Hatluni village. The mammoth task was done by actor Salman, his co-star Kareena Kapoor Khan, director Kabir Khan and music composer Himmesh Reshammiya, reportedly. Professional painters joined the film's crew in painting the village. The leading daily report also suggests that the 'Being Human' actor not only painted the entire village but also distributed sarees for the womenfolk and played football for the younger lot. The actor has shown his philanthropic side many a times.

Supermodel Miranda Kerr, who has posed topless for a magazine cover, says she likes being naked. In the cover photo of Harper's Bazaar, the former Victoria's Secret Angel sports a black over-sized hat and black high-waisted pants with her arms crossed over. "I love taking my shoes off and being in the grass. Or sunbaking naked. I wish I could go skinny-dipping in the ocean. If I didn't have to worry about anyone taking my picture, I'd totally be out there," she said. Kerr, 31, who separated from his husband Orlando Bloom in 2013, says dating is currently not her priority. "I'll go on a date here and there if it works. But at this point my priority is my son. I'm not looking for a relationship. I'm just not."
Jennifer Lopez goes topless for the boy next door
Jennifer Lopez is showing off her body in her new thriller 'The Boy Next Door'. In the film, the 45-year-old mother of two plays a high school teacher being terrorized at home and work by a much younger guy (Ryan Guzman) who is obsessed with her, reported E!Online. Lopez said she never thought of using a body double as they needed things as close to real as possible. "It was all me. And all Ryan, by the way... Those scenes are embarrassing. They are uncomfortable, but your job as an actress or an actor is to make it believable and this movie in particular... Hinges on if that was believable, that it was enough to make this guy go insane," she said.
'Shamitabh' has a plot never seen before in Bollywood
Indian cinema's megastar Amitabh Bachchan is ready to stun the audiences one more time with his performance in 'Shamitabh'. The film has been directed by 'Paa' fame filmmaker R Balki, who so far has been successful in keeping the storyline under wraps. Bachchan senior took to micro-blogging site Twitter and revealed that the plot of 'Shamitabh' is so unique that it has never been seen before in Indian cinema, nor will it happen again. He posted: “This I can say for #shamitabhMovie , its a plot never seen before in Indian Cinema... And... will never again!”
Sanjay Gupta's 'Kaante' set for a sequel
Filmmaker Sanjay Gupta had delivered a blockbuster in the form of 'Kaante' in 2002. The film had an ensemble cast of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Mahesh Manjrekar, Lucky Ali and Kumar Gaurav in the lead roles. The movie was loved for its music and power-packed performances. In an interview with the leading daily, the filmmaker was quoted as saying that the script is ready for the sequel, which will see three of the original characters getting reprised in the second part. The film had a special number by Malaika Arora Khan, which became a chart-buster instantly. Now, with 'Kaante' sequel in the pipeline, will we see Sanju baba and Big B coming together in a film again? Only time will spill more beans.
Bipasha Basu says no to college girl roles
Actress Bipasha Basu, who has turned 35, says she's only keen to do roles that suit her and that she's not game to essaying a college girl on the big screen. Asked why she's picking horror films, the bold and beautiful actress said: "If at all anybody offers me a role of a college girl, I won't do it. You have to do roles that suit you." "People want to see me in strong roles...whether it's in an artistic film or comedy. They want a lot of strength (in the character). And I only care about my audience, about entertaining the people who love me," she added. Bipasha is currently busy promoting 'Alone', directed by Bhushan Patel. It marks TV actor Karan Singh Grover's debut in Bollywood. The actress is happy with the response that the trailer has received, and she is hopeful the movie will be lapped up once it releases Jan 16.
