Four army men hurt in road crash
Countrywide road accidents killed four people and injured 32 others yesterday and Friday.
Our Pabna correspondent reports, seven people, including four army officers, were injured when a microbus and an army jeep collided head-on on Dhaka-Bogra highway in Ghurka area of Raiganj upazila in Sirajganj yesterday.
They officers -- Major Raihan, 34, Captain Kayes, 28, Captain Jahiduzzaman Jahid, 27, and second lieutenant Asaduzzaman, 22 – are undergoing treatment.
Our Moulvibazar correspondent reports, three people died in a head-on collision between a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and a microbus on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj on Friday.
The deceased were Qazi Sayeed Ahmed, 80, his son Qazi Hafizur Rahman, 40, of Paschim Timirpur village, and Rezaul Karim, 25, of Kamalpur village.
Our Thakurgaon correspondent adds a pedestrian died after being crashed under a bus which fell into a roadside ditch as the driver lost control over the vehicle on Tetulia-Banglabandha road in Babuanijoth village of Tetulia upazila in Panchagarh yesterday.
The victim was Ranju, 22, son of Morshed Ali of Babuanijoth village. 25 passenger of the bus were also injured.
