Flappy Bird Alternatives

By now, I'm sure you have at least heard of Flappy Bird, if not played it at least once. Yes, I too, like millions across the globe, have spent hours playing this game, day and night, and during classes as well. And I'll let you in on a secret: my score never reached a two-digit figure. Enraged after countless futile attempts, I uninstalled the app from my phone, but as soon as I calmed down, I regretted having done that, for the app was no longer available in the Play Store.
When developer Dong Nguyen decided to pull the game off from the store, he had his reasons. There aren't many who had succeeded in this game, but people were still upset about it being called off. If you had uninstalled the game but now really wish that you could play it again, I have some moderately good news for you: there are other apps on the market that resemble Flappy Bird very closely, and may be played as alternatives. Here are some of the most popular ones, or those that struck me as interesting.
Clumsy Bird: Developed by Candy Mobile, Clumsy Bird is the most famous Flappy Bird alternative. The storyline follows Angry Birds to an extent too, in that the eggs of the bird have been stolen by dragons, and now it has fallen on to you to recover them, in flappy-style. Honestly, this game seemed easier to me than Flappy Bird, but it's still quite challenging.
Flappy Doge: Despite recent attempts at banning the doge meme, Flappy Doge has come out as one successful variation of Flappy Bird. The game is basically the same as Flappy Bird, but Flappy Doge instead incorporates doge in the game, with a doge backdrop on the sky, and it says “Such Death” when you crash, just like the doge memes. Apart from this, there are other meme-based flappy apps, like Flappy Troll.
Flappy Dragon Tap: AstraStudio's Flappy Dragon Tap may not be as famous as the other flappy games, but it is much easier. You fly a dragon through not-so-touch-sensitive icicles, which have relatively huge gaps between them, thus making your task (and your life!) much easier. Consider this game if you really want to boost your ego after frustrating Flappy Bird days.
Flying Miley Cyrus: Yes, you read that right. Flying Miley Cyrus is one of the Flappy Bird alternatives in the market. Let me paint you a word picture: you have to fly the “Wrecking Ball” famed tongue-sticking-out version of Cyrus through obstacles made of microphones. It is not in mechanics any harder than Flappy Bird, but controlling Miley's face is a task that can send the strongest person mad. Yet, I would suggest you play this and test your patience.
The games stated above are only a few of the Flappy Bird alternatives, but there are many, many more, and most of them support multi-player modes. Most of these clone apps are as addictive and difficult as Flappy Bird itself. However, be careful, as many of the Flappy clones have been reported to spread viruses or crash your devices. That being said, good luck with whichever of the numerous options you choose to replace Flappy Bird in your life!
