Mexico ease past Korea

Carlos Vela and Javier Hernandez scored either side of the break as Mexico cruised to A 2-1 win over South Korea to moved one step closer to the last 16 in their Group F fixture at the Rostov Arena today.

Vela opened the scoring from the spot on the 26th minute while Hernandez double El Tri's lead 21 minutes after restart with a fine finish.

Heung-Min Son scored a consolation goal for the South Koreans in the stoppage time of the second half.

Two wins in two matches took the Central Americans to six points, with Sweden and Germany to slug it out in the group's second match of the day.
