Mashrafe saddened by Germany exit

Bangladesh pacer Mashrafe Bin Mortaza took to social media to express that he is saddened by mighty Germany’s shock exit from the World Cup 2018.

Defending world champions Germany crashed out of the World Cup after a shock 2-0 loss to South Korea on Wednesday, courtesy of two stoppage-time goals.South Korea's Kim Young-gwon scored in added time following a video review and Son Heung-min added another goal just before the final whistle.

Mashrafe is an avid football lover and an Argentina fan. Mashrafe had started bowling in the nets at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket stadium after a two-month break. The ace pacer took his time out as he chatted with reporters and other players afterwards. Talking about the World Cup 2018, he revealed that he would like to see the top teams battle it out for the ultimate glory in Russia. However, Germany’s early exit from the showpiece event ruined his plans.

Mashrafe posted just after the Germany-Korea game and expressed his feelings in social media.

“This is heart-breaking…alas” Mashrafe posted in his official Facebook page.
