EU, Dhaka should work together

Dutch Minister Lilianne Ploumen has suggested that European Union and the Bangladesh government work together to impress upon the international companies for them to adequately contribute to the compensation fund for the Rana Plaza victims.
The minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation of the Netherlands made the remark during a meeting with visiting Bangladesh Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at the Netherlands Foreign Ministry yesterday morning.
She expressed her interest in further discussing the exact modalities for cooperation in this regard during her scheduled visit to Bangladesh in the end of May this year, said a foreign ministry press release.
