This panda cub loves to eat thill bamboo
Adorable panda in Taipei Zoo can't get enough thill bamboo.
Taiwan's first native-born panda cub Yuan Zai has been enjoying a new item on its menu.
To add some variety to their food, every week Taipei Zoo has been ordering 45 kilograms of thill bamboo from farmers in Chiayi.
Thill bamboo is regarded as the "royalty of Makino bamboo." How delicious is it? See for yourself.
This special bamboo is especially fleshy and its fibers are tender and soft. Yuan Zai loves it so much that she practically eats the husk.
The zoo said everybody should be like Yuan Zai and go for local foods, eat more fruits and vegetables and consume less meat.
