Rakhi Sawant's mother passes away
Rakhi Sawant's mother, Jaya Sawant, died on Saturday after a long battle with a brain tumor and cancer. The actor and reality TV star's mother had been hospitalized in Mumbai for several days and was reportedly in critical condition. Rakhi announced on Instagram that the funeral will take place today.
The reality star was in the news for changing her name to Fatima after marrying her beau Adil Khan. Initially, Adil was hesitant to open up about their marriage. However, the couple has patched up.

Earlier on, Rakhi had been posting pictures and videos of her mother from the hospital as well as health updates.
The reality TV star also urged fans to pray for her mother's quick recovery. Many celebrities, including Jackie Shroff, Maanayata Dutt, Aly Goni, and Rashami Desai, have expressed their condolences to Rakhi and her family.
Social media has been flooded with videos of Rakhi Sawant crying inconsolably after the death of her mother.
"My mother has left me all alone," she kept repeating in Hindi.
In one of the Instagram videos, Rakhi was seen asking, "Where is Adil?" (her husband Adil Khan Durrani). In a video, she was also looking for Salman Khan "bhai" (brother). Rakhi couldn't control her tears as her mother's body was taken away in an ambulance.
Rakhi Sawant posted an emotional post on Instagram on her mother's demise.
"Today my mother's hand was lifted from my head. I have nothing left to lose. I miss you mother. Now who will listen to me and hug me," she wrote.
