Mim was so good in ‘Poran’, that I hated her character: Mahiya Mahi

Dhallywood star Mahiya Mahi and her husband Rakib Sarker went to see a movie together for the first time.They went and saw Raihan Rafi's "Poran". A number of stars, including Siam, Puja Chery, Arifin Shuvoo, Ilias Kanchan, Pori Moni, Misha Sawdagar, were also present at the star-studded special screening of the film.

"I had a fun time watching the film. We should all watch each other's films and appreciate them.  There is so much discussion about the film, I would lose respect for myself if I did not go and watch 'Poran," said Mahiya Mahi.

"We enjoyed all of the sequences. I literally wanted to beat Ananya for being so naughty – calling someone 'jaan', and then leaving him for another guy for money. The entire credit goes to the actors and Raihan Rafi," added the actress.

Mahi's husband, Rakib, was super excited about coming to the theatres after a long time.

"I haven't watched any films with Mahi in theatres. This is our first time watching a movie together, and it felt great. The people in the film industry are my wife's (Mahi's) extended family, so it feels truly great watching this film," said Rakib.

"Poran", starring Sariful Razz, Bidya Sinha Mim, and Yash Rohan, was released in 11 halls on Eid-ul-Azha. On Friday, the number of halls increased to 55.
