‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’ returns to television after 14 years

Star Plus' iconic show "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii" is returning to Television screen after 14 years. The TV channel shared a teaser of Sakshi Tanwar and Shweta Kawaatra enacting the iconic 'diya' scene on Instagram.

Star Plus will broadcast re-runs of the show from today. Fans will be able to watch the show from Monday to Sunday from 4pm onwards.

Ekta Kapoor posted a heartfelt post on Instagram about the series.

"I was this young, ambitious 25-year- old TV producer who was trying to make a mark in the entertainment world. I was determined to create something really big that could make a difference in society," the post read.

"I have always looked for inspiration in real people around me, and that's how the journey of 'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii' began. After much persuasion, Sakshi agreed to essay the role of Parvati, who went on to become India's favourite bahu along with Tulsi," the post concluded.

"Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii" was first premiered in 2000, and had a successful run for eight years. The show concluded in 2008 on a high note.
