‘Jersey’ release date postponed to avoid clash with ‘KGF: Chapter 2’
To avoid a potential clash with "KGF: Chapter 2", Shahid Kapoor's "Jersey" release has been postponed again. The film will release will now release theatrically on April 22. Alongside Shahid, the film features Pankaj Kapur, and Mrunal Thakur in pivotal roles.
The sports drama was initially set to release in December but was halted due to rising Omicron cases. Later, the production team decided to bring "Jersey" to the silver screen on April 14.
Discussions have surfaced that the release date was altered due to avoid a clash with Kannada action film "KGF: Chapter 2", starring Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Prakash Raj.
'Jersey' is produced by film producers Dil Raju, S Naga Vamsi, and Aman Gill. Directed by Gowtham Tinnanuri, "Jersey" is the Hindi remake of the Nani-starrer National Award winning Telugu production of the same name. The film revolves around the journey of a talented but failed cricketer returning to the field in his late 30s, for his son.
