James Gunn promises new film will focus solely on Superman
Recently, a lot of prominent characters from DC Comics have been cast in the upcoming film, "Superman: Legacy".
With fans concerned if the film will truly focus on Superman, or if it will be just another superhero film that kicks-off multiple other franchises.

Following the announcement of Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, and Edi Gathegi all joining as different DC superheroes in the film, James Gunn, Co-head of DC Studios took to social media to ease fan's concerns, writing, "I've never used one movie to set up another movie. The characters are there because they help tell Superman's story better, not so we can set up separate projects in the franchise. Superman and Lois are the very clear protagonists."
In "Superman: Legacy" Fillion will be playing Guy Gardner (Green Lantern), while Merced and Gathegi will be playing Hawkgirl and Mister Terrific, respectively.
The movie is scheduled to start filming next year, with a planned release date of July 11, 2025.
