Hollywood star George Clooney has admitted he once turned down $35 million dollars for one day's work of starring in an airline commercial due to moral reasons.

In an interview with the Guardian, Clooney was asked whether he thinks he has "enough money now."

"Well, yeah. I was offered $35 million for one day's work for an airline commercial, but I talked to [my wife] about it and we decided it's not worth it," the actor said.

It was [associated with] a country that, although it's an ally, is questionable at times, and so I thought: 'Well, if it takes a minute's sleep away from me, it's not worth it," Clooney added.

George Clooney is currently busy promoting his upcoming film "Tender Bar". The film, which stars Ben Affleck, Daniel Ranieri and Tye Sheridan, follows a boy growing up on Long Island who seeks out father figures among the patrons at his uncle's bar.

"Tender Bar" will have a limited theatrical release on December 17. It will stream on Amazon Prime Video from January 7.
