Rumours surfaced on the social media last night, claiming that National Award winning actor Alamgir is no more. Clearing the doubts, his wife renowned singer Runa Laila confirmed that the actor is absolutely fine.

"Alamgir is healthy and is doing fine. He is staying at home," she said to The Daily Star. "Such false claims not only makes us worried but also makes his fans sad."

His daughter popular singer Akhi Alamgir took to her social media to respond to the rumours. Her Facebook post reads: My father is absolutely fine. I request you all, please stop spreading such rumours.

"Please pray for my father," Akhi Alamgir told The Daily Star. "He is doing well and is perfectly fit and fine."
