Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Samrat Prithviraj’ proving to be a flop?

"Samrat Prithviraj", the YRF film was one of Akshay Kumar's most hyped films. Things aren't looking so good at the box office for the big-budget production.
According to a Bollywood Hungama report, Samrat Prithviraj's morning shows are being cancelled due to low presence of the audience. Bollywood Hungama quoted sources as saying that the film didn't attract crowds in Mumbai, but nobody expected shows to be cancelled because of zero ticket sales in the mornings.
Akshay Kumar starred in the first "Bhool Bhulaiyaa" but did not return for the second. The performance of the film was not upto the mark, and the success of "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" is noteworthy.
Sonu Sood, who played a pivotal role in "Samrat Prithviraj", told Hindustan Times, "I am very thankful to the audience for showering us with their love. It might not have got as much business as expected, but we have to accept that things are a bit different after the pandemic. Having said that, I'd say I am very happy with it and with how much love people have shown."
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#SamratPrithviraj continues its downward trend… Trending is extremely weak, there's zilch hope to cover lost ground on weekdays or next weekend…Fri 10.70 cr, Sat 12.60 cr, Sun 16.10 cr, Mon 5 cr, Tue 4.25 cr. Total: ₹ 48.65 cr. #India biz."
Samrat Prithviraj marked the debut of Manushi Chhillar, and also starred Ashutosh Rana and Manav Vij.
