Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association election has been mired in controversy, since the election was held on BFDC on Friday. 17 film organisations called for continuous strikes demanding the resolution of their 3-point demands.

As part of their ongoing protest, the members of the 17 organisations took positions in front of BFDC gate from 9 am today.

"BFDC's Managing Director has insulted us by not allowing us to enter during the election on January 28. We want her to be removed immediately," said noted filmmaker Delwar Jahan Jhantu.

The film organisation is planning on continuing its strike. Apart from demanding the removal of the Managing Director, they have also demanded not allowing Election Commissioner Pirzada Shahidul Harun in their movies or series, and that no elections should be held at BFDC.
