Don't keep your dream child in the heaven any longer!
Today Ramisa turned one. Guests who have come to attend Ramisa’s birthday are hugging and cuddling her, taking photos with her. Standing nearby greeting the guests is Fariya Faisal, mother of Ramisa. This colorful day, this music, fun and joy, all seem like a dream to Fariya. For this day, Fariya and her husband Faisal had to wait for long eight years. To conceive a baby they visited so many doctors, went abroad for treatment, even went to holy shrines; all these with no result!
A close friend suggested seeing a local renowned Infertility Specialist in an International Standard Tertiary Care hospital. Fariya and Faisal realized they should have come for treatment here much earlier. Best part was the doctor was very understanding and empathetic while he was explaining about the male and female reasons for not having a baby.
If any of the following conditions applies to any married female, she should seek help as soon as she notices that she is having difficulty conceiving:
* Irregular menstrual cycles
* Long, heavy or painful periods
* Having had gynecologic surgery
* History of pelvic infection or endometriosis
The doctor also said, a married female should seek help if she is:
* Under the age of 35 and she has been trying for one year.
* Between the age of 35-40 and has been trying for six months.
* Over the age of 40 – then she should see an Infertility Specialist without delay.
Further, if a woman is not having trouble conceiving, but has experienced two or more miscarriages, it is recommended that she seeks a diagnosis and treatment from a fertility specialist before attempting another pregnancy.
While regularly attending the Infertility Clinic in this hospital with International Accreditation, Fariya realized, as infertility management requires long treatment time, how beneficial it is to have it in your own country, not to mention the huge cost adding to the uncertainty in a foreign land! Fariya also felt the necessity of this treatment to be done in a centre where all sophisticated lab tests, freezing facility for preservation of gonads & embryos are available 24/7. She was amazed at the uninterrupted power supply system of the hospital which is essential to maintain quality of the preserved cells; who doesn’t know what a big challenge it is in a developing country like ours!
Fariya could see many couples in the hospital who wanted to keep the treatment process very private; hence she found the hospital to be commendable as it was a hospital with International Accreditation which maintained patients’ confidentiality with paramount importance.
In the long eighteen months journey to conceive Ramisa, the hospital stood by Fariya and Faisal in every step, the doctor giving them confidence and hope all the way. So here they are, holding Ramisa tight, blowing candles and cutting the cake on her first birthday!
This is not the story of only Fariya and Faisal. Many couples do not know that there is right treatment available for infertility; some take it as God’s will, while some blame it on the wife. For infertility treatment you need an Infertility Centre in a hospital which has skilled and experienced infertility specialists, high tech infertility lab and a system which ensures patient confidentiality; all these are available in your own country in a tertiary care hospital with International Accreditation; where the required long duration infertility treatment is possible at a much lower cost than hospitals abroad!
