Youth stabbed in Chuadanga Hospital

Criminals stabbed a youth inside Chuadanga Sadar Hospital on Saturday evening.

Injured Rabbi Sheikh, 24, son of Hafiz Sheikh of the town, is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Delwar Hossain Khan, officer-in-charge of Chuadanga Sadar Police Station, said an altercation took place between two rival groups over previous enmity on Saturday afternoon, leaving one Anik Ali injured.

Rabbi Sheikh, relative of Anik, took him to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital and admitted him to the emergency department there. 

A group of four to five men entered the hospital and attacked Rabbi when he was looking after Anik. They stabbed Rabbi indiscriminately in front of doctors, patients and other staff of the hospital. Seriously injured Rabbi was then rushed to DMCH.

Police are raiding different areas to arrest the attackers, said the OC.
