Quader warns AL men not to breach party discipline

Newly elected Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today warned party-men of taking organisational actions against those who will breach party discipline.

Referring to the expulsion of two Dhaka city unit Chhatra League leaders for brandishing arms in broad daylight, he said action already started against the errant activists who are tarnishing the image of the government.

"It's our first action. Wait and you will see more," Quader, also the Road, Transport and Bridges minister, said while addressing an extended meeting of Dhaka city unit (North) of the party at Mohammadpur to take preparations in observing Jail Killing Day.

Besides expulsion, law enforcement agencies would also take measures against the miscreants, the AL second-in-command said.

Conspiracy against PM still going on

Quader said conspiracy is still going on against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The minister said if Sheikh Hasina is not alive, the flow of development and progress of Awami League and Bangladesh will get halted.

He also said the achievement of PM Hasina would no way be tarnished by some errant party-men.

"Miscreants will not be spared. Sheikh Hasina will reward those who will involve with only good deeds."

"Time has come to work. We care about taking preparation for elections," he said and asked party leaders not to receive bouquet of flowers but to work for the people.

About the new party committee, Obaidul Quader said those who were dedicated for the party got position in new committee.  

'I am an example...as I never leave the party president, I have got the reward,' he said.
