No evidence of involvement of Islamic State (IS) has been found in recent 37 killings, Industry Minister Amir Hossain Amu today said.

Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) was involved in eight and in rest of the four killings, other militant groups had been involved, Amu told this to journalists after attending a cabinet committee meeting on law and order at the Secretariat in Dhaka.

Law enforcers are investigating the 37 killing cases among which trials in two cases are underway and charge sheets in the four cases were submitted, he said.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Law Minister Anisul Huq, LGRD Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud and State Minister for Labour Mujibul Haque Chunnu attended the meeting among others.
