Woman strangled to death in Pabna, says police

The body of a woman was found in Pabna's Chatmohar upazila this morning.

The deceased was identified as Jamuna Rani Sarkar (55), widow of Gosai Sarkar of Dolong village, reports our Pabna correspondent.

Officer-in-Charge of Chatmohar Police Station Md Aminul Islam said Jamuna, who had been working as domestic help, went to watch television at a neighbour's house last night.

After watching TV, Jamuna left the house but she he did not return home, the OC said.

Locals found her body at a garden adjacent to her residence in the morning, he added.

The victim may have been strangled to death, the OC said, adding that the police are looking into the incident.
