A woman has filed a case accusing her father-in-law of raping her in Tarakanda upazila of Mymensingh.

Accused Ruhul Amin (50) is on the run, our local correspondent reports quoting police.

Quoting the case statement, Officer-in-Charge of Tarakanda Police Station Md Abul Khayer said the accused, a sawmill worker, raped his daughter-in-law around 11:00pm on Thursday when she was alone in her room.

The woman went to the police station yesterday evening and lodged the case.

The accused is yet to be arrested, said the OC. "Drives are on to arrest him," he added.

The woman was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for medical test today.
