A teenager has allegedly burned his father to death after being refused a latest model motorcycle.

Victim ATM Rafiqul Huda, 48, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital today with 95 percent burn injuries, said Partha Shankar Paul, resident surgeon of the burn unit.

A family quarrel ensued on September 15 over purchasing of a motorcycle, said ATM Sirajul Huda, elder brother of the victim. "At one point, my nephew set my brother on fire."

Only son Fardin Huda, 17, is currently on the run and police is trying to catch him, said Md Nazim Uddin, officer-in-charge of Faridpur Kotwali Police Station. Process of filing a case is underway.

Rafiqul Huda was undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital's burn unit since then. He succumbed to his injuries around 4:00am today.
