All types of security measures have been taken on the occasion of Mujib Borsho, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said today.

The measures are part of the overall security on the occasion of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's birth centenary, he added.

Social media accounts of propagandists will be monitored during the Bangabandhu birth centenary celebration, he told reporters after a meeting on security measures.

More than one lakh guests, including heads of different states, are expected to attend the programme, he said.

Additionally, the authorities concerned would take necessary measures at the events across the country.

In response to a query, he said, "There is no possibility of anarchy during the occasion. We haven't received any such information from intelligence."

When asked about what the authorities would do if any protest against Modi takes place during the occasion, he replied, "I'd refer to what the Awami League general secretary has said on the issue."

On March 2, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, also Awami League general secretary, told reporters that Bangladeshis should welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the country instead of protesting his visit.
