Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to India in October this year to improve further the bilateral relations between the two friendly neighbours.
“We are working on the date and agenda. Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will be visiting Bangladesh on August 20 and 21,” Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen told reporters at his ministry office today.
Hasina last paid a state visit to India on April 7-10, 2017. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a state visit to Bangladesh on June 6-7, 2015.
The minister said speeding up Indian line of credit, water sharing of 54 common rivers and Rohingya crisis may be the major issues during the visit.
