Partex Group’s Founding Chairman MA Hashem no more
Noted industrialist, former lawmaker and Partex Group's founding Chairman MA Hashem passed away today at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. He was 78.
Hashem was admitted to the Evercare Hospital on December 11 after testing positive for Covid-19. He was put on life support on December 16 after his condition deteriorated.
His son Showkat Aziz Russell informed of his father's demise in a Facebook post and requested everyone to pray for his departed soul.
"My father M.A Hashem (78) took his last breath tonight 24th December @ 1:20 AM at the Evercare Hospital. Innalillahe wa inna ilaihe rajiun. Please pray for his departed soul and may he rest in Peace in heaven. Ameen," the post read.
Hashem's son Aziz Al Kaiser also confirmed the development to The Daily Star.
MA Hashem joined BNP before the 2001 general election and was elected MP from Noakhali-2 constituency.
