Murder accused killed in Natore
An accused in a murder case was killed by unknown criminals in Gurudaspur upazila of Natore this morning.
Deceased Jalal Mandol, 60, a resident of Gurudaspur village, was an accused in a murder case, Mahabub Alam, officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station, told our local correspondent.
He was attacked by some unidentified people while on way to appear before a local court, our Natore correspondent reports quoting OC Mahabub.
Md Mojaharul Islam, officer-in-charge(OC) of Gurudaspur Police Station, said that the assailants cut off Jalal’s left hand, leaving him critically injured at Sabgari around 7:30am.
The victim died of severe blood loss after being rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, the OC said.
The body was kept to Rajshahi Medical College morgue for autopsy.
