Hefajat demands withdrawal of cases and Tk 50cr compensation
In a protest rally in Chattogram today, leaders of Hefajat-e-Islam demanded withdrawal of cases filed against them and a total of Tk 50 crore in compensation for members who died and were injured during the recent anti-Modi protests.
They said the group is not against the government or state but an atheist quarter was trying to pit the government against Hefajat.
They also demanded Tk 40 crore compensation for the deceased who died during their anti-Modi protest and another Tk 10 crore compensation for treatment of the injured.
Hefajat leaders came up with their remarks at a protest rally held after Jumma prayers in front Hathazari Dak bungalow where several top Hefajat leaders including Hefajat Ameer Allama Junayed Babunagari were present.
Addressing the rally, Hefajat Ameer Junayed Babunagari demanded withdrawal of all false cases filed against his leaders and activists across the country.
He said an atheist quarter is trying to damage the good relation between Hefajat and the government by tarnishing the image of Hefajat.
