Couple found murdered in Kishoreganj

A couple’s slit-throat bodies were found in Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj this afternoon.

The victims were identified as Md Abu Bakkar, 25, a rickshaw-puller, and his wife Hima Khatun, 20, of Saterdoria village in the upazila, our Mymenshingh correspondent reports.

On information, police recovered the bodies from Dakhhin Chandpur area under Kadirjangal union of the upazila around 5:30pm, Md Mominul Islam, officer-in-charge of Karimganj Police Station, told The Daily Star.

The bodies were sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police suspect that they were murdered because of previous enmity, the police official added.

No case was lodged and no one arrested as of filing this report around 8:30pm.
