2 killed in separate road accidents

Two persons were killed in two separate road accidents in Manikganj and Kishoreganj yesterday.
In Manikganj, a pedestrian was killed and two others injured after being hit by a private car on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway in Manikganj Sadar Upazila in the afternoon.
Police are yet to confirm the identity of the victims.
The injured are motorcycle driver Rakib Hossain (18) and Mostafizur Rahman (43), the private car driver.
Golra Highway Police and locals said the Dhaka-bound private car hit Rakib's motorcycle first before hitting the unidentified victim near Bagjan area.
Police sent Rakib, Mostafizur and the pedestrian to the Sadar hospital.
Officer-in-Charge of Golra Highway Police Station Monirul Islam said the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The private car has been seized.
In Kishoreganj, one person was killed in a collision involving a private car and two motorcycles on the Itna-Mithamoin road.
Quoting locals, police said the Mithamoin-bound private car collided head-on with two Itna-bound motorcycles near Mamudpur area of Mithamoin around 6pm.
One of the motorcyclists died on the spot and the two others sustained severe injuries.
Officer-in-Charge of Mithamoin Police Station Md Zakir Rabbani said they recovered the body and sent the injured to Mithamoin upazila health complex.
