A group torched a house and a shop of their rivals at Dadkhali village in Sharsha upazila of Jessore district on Saturday night over previous enmity.

Police and locals said one Moslem and Monir locked in a clash with Ohidul over a trifling matter.

Later, the men of Ohidul allegedly attacked the house of Moslem and shop of Monir around 10:30pm. They also torched those.

The family members caught Ohidul from the spot and beat him up.

On information, police rushed to the spot, rescued Ohidul and sent him to a local clinic.

Seven people of both groups were also injured during the incident.
A case was filed in this connection.
