Female UZ chairman arrested

Police on Monday arrested Sabira Nazmul Munni, chairman of Jhikargachha Upazila Parisad, in Jessore.

They arrested her from Jessore Airport when she was going to Dhaka by air, said Azmal Huda, officer-in- charge of Kotwali Police Station.

Munni is accused in five cases, the OC said.

Syed Saberul Haque Sabu, general secretary of Jessore district unit BNP, however, said Munni got bail in all the five cases.
