Carpenter dies in wall collapse

A youth died when an old boundary wall collapsed on him at Hospital Road in Alfadanga municipality of the district on Monday.

The deceased was Md Rabbi, 23, son of Abul Hossain of Bodol Court village in Chotkhali upazila of Noakhali. He worked as a carpenter at Shoukhin furniture shop at Alfadanga Bazar.

Police and locals said when Rabbi basked beside the old house of one Shahadat Hossain around 10:00am, the wall collapsed on him.

Rabbi was rushed to the upazila health complex where doctors declared him dead.
