64.29% of cabinet decisions implemented
The government has said 64.29 percent of its decisions taken in the cabinet meetings between July and September this year were implemented.
The rate is 6.20 percent higher than that of the same period of the previous fiscal year, Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam told reporters after the cabinet weekly meeting today.
Among 56 decisions taken in eight cabinet meetings between July 1 and September 30, total 36 decisions have been implemented while 20 decisions are under the process to be implemented, the cabinet secretary said.
Four treaties or memoranda of understanding were ratified and 10 laws were passed by the parliament during this time, he added.
During the corresponding period of the previous year, 78 decisions were taken in 11 cabinet meetings, among which 45 decisions (57.69 pc) were implemented while 33 decisions were under the implementation process.
Three policies or work plans were approved while four treaties or memoranda of understanding were ratified and eight laws passed by Parliament.
