Two children drowned in a pond in Chatmohar upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased are Shikha, 7, and her cousin Arifa, 6, of Katenga Bou Bazar village in the upazila.

Police said the two went to pick mangoes floating in the pond near their grandfather's house
