“Fakhrul slates PM's rejection of dialogue,” published on July 26, 2014
Deep Purple Blue
Britain did express serious concern about the Jan 5 sham polls. Bangladesh's foreign minister lied through his teeth when he said that the British prime minister had said that the Jan 5 poll was a thing of the past!
Molla A. Latif
Yes, Mr. Fakhrul. It is an irony that BNP chief disconcertingly denied a dialogue when the PM called her over telephone for it and you must not forget the havoc your party created before and during the last election. So if the PM denies a dialogue now, the responsibility of creating an environment for a dialogue now rests with the BNP chief. She should make a phone call to the PM and see if she denies it as she did.

“Govt lied over PM's UK visit” (July 27, 2014)
Aasfisarwar
Who is lying? BNP or the government?
Taslima Islam
This government has fallen so much that the president, prime minister and foreign minister have to lie before the nation as well as the whole world. How could they think that they would lie this way and get away with it?
Deep Purple Blue
Well, it would be interesting to know what Hasina and her foreign minister have to say about the comments of the British prime minister about the January 2014 elections and who invited her to travel to London -- the British prime minister or the organisers of the Girls' Summit?
Mortuza Huq
They have been fooling around thinking that people of Bangladesh are a bunch of fools.

“Did Gen Zia abolish Sangsad's power?” (July 28, 2014)
Tangled Abstract Fallacy
The impeachment authority of the legislative branch is a globally recognised and widely practiced norm of the democratic world. The only exceptions to such democratic practices can be observed in the failed state of Pakistan. We must therefore take a conscious decision whether we would like to remain uncivilised or we want to graduate to being a democratic society with the power of impeachment vested in the people's representatives at the nation's legislative branch.
Deep Purple Blue
A brilliant and courageous piece. Thanks to TDS and Shakhawat Liton for setting the record right. AL and Hasina often accuse others of distorting history, but now it is clearly evident who is distorting history.
Mortuza Huq
Awami League's oxygen is just lies. Without lies and deception, it cannot survive. This party lost all the guts to face BNP on a level playing field under a fair and credible election.
