Clash over control of shrine, 7 hurt

At least seven people were injured in a clash between two rival groups at Khagaria village in Satkania upazila yesterday.
Nazmul Haque, sub-inspector of Satkania police station, said there was a longstanding conflict between Khorshed Alam and Jamal Uddin of the village over taking control of a shrine in the area.
As a sequel to the conflict, the supporters of the duo attacked each other with firearms and lethal weapons, leaving seven from both sides injured.
